Plans are priced per team, not per person: invite everyone who helps with support. What's metered is the answers your bot writes, not seats or your team's replies: Team includes 4,000 answers a month on tufu's AI (about 1,000 conversations on Claude Haiku 5.5), Free 200.
The plans#
| Free | Team | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $49 a month, or $490 a year (early access price) |
| Answers a month on tufu's AI | 200 | 4,000 |
| Answers a month on your own AI key | 1,000 | Unlimited, free |
| Models on tufu's AI | Claude Haiku 5.5, reasoning off | Claude Haiku 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Opus 5.5, reasoning off to high (answers a reply) |
| Bots | 1 | Unlimited |
| Answer packs | Yes | |
| Knowledge | Up to 1,000,000 tokens in total | Unlimited |
Team's price is the early access price. Locked in for as long as you stay subscribed. The price for new teams goes up after early access. A new price only ever applies to new subscriptions.
Only on Team:
- Slack: handoff threads, buttons, and answers in your workspace
- Routing, take-turns rotation and reminders
- Business hours and quiet hours
- Reports and CSV export
- Knowledge that refreshes itself every week
- Remove tufu branding from the chat and search
- Discord: answering and handoff
- Free installation help
Everything else, including the support chat, the Ask console, human handoff to the inbox and email, support by email, knowledge gaps, every knowledge source and your own AI key, is on both plans. If a team moves from Team to Free, its settings for these features are kept and come back when it upgrades.
What counts as an answer#
An answer is one reply a bot writes on tufu's AI, in any channel: a chat bubble on your site, an Ask console in your docs, a WordPress plugin, email, Slack and Discord. A reply on Claude Haiku 5.5 with reasoning off is one answer. On Team, a bot can run on Claude Sonnet 5.5 or Claude Opus 5.5, or reason more, and each reply then counts a set number of answers, shown wherever you choose. Repeat Ask questions served from the cache, suggested replies, summaries and chat titles are free. On Team, answers on your own AI key are free and unlimited.
Answers on your own AI key are counted apart: free and unlimited on Team, and 1,000 a month on Free, on top of the ones on tufu's AI. Replies in Preview count too. How each channel counts, and what's free, is in What counts as an answer.
Your answers reset every month. Plan and usage shows how many you've used and when they reset.
When you run out#
We email your team's admins when you've used 80% of the month's answers, so it's never a surprise. When they run out, bots on tufu's AI stop answering until the next month or the next pack. Visitors can still reach your team with Talk to a human, and repeat Ask console questions are still answered from the cache.
- On Free, the bot pauses until next month. Visitors never see a message about plans.
- On Team, buy an answer pack (below), or switch a bot to your own AI key. If you have answers from packs, they take over when the month's included ones run out, and we email your admins when that happens.
Separately from monthly answers, a few usage limits stop one visitor or a runaway bot from using up your answers in a few hours.
Answer packs#
On the Team plan, admins can buy more answers under Plan and usage:
| Pack | Price | Per answer |
|---|---|---|
| 2,000 answers | $20 | $0.01 |
| 8,000 answers | $60 | $0.0075 |
| 40,000 answers | $200 | $0.005 |
- Paid once, up front, by card. There's no metered bill at the end of a busy month.
- They never expire. Unused answers from packs carry over from month to month.
- Used last. Pack answers are only used after the month's included ones run out.
- Bigger packs cost less per answer.
Auto-recharge#
Rather not watch the counter? Turn on auto-recharge under Plan and usage, and tufu buys a pack for you before your answers run out:
- Save a card. Buying any pack saves the card you paid with, or use Save a card without buying anything.
- Choose the rule: which pack, and when to buy it (when fewer than, say, 400 answers are left).
- Set a monthly limit. Auto-recharge never spends more than this in a month. When the next pack would pass it, tufu doesn't buy it and emails your admins instead.
Every recharge is charged first and then added, so it's still paid up front, and your admins get an email receipt. If a charge doesn't go through (a declined or expired card, or a bank asking to confirm the payment), auto-recharge turns itself off and your admins get an email. It never retries on its own. Update the card and turn it back on. You can turn it off, or remove the card, at any time.
Plan and usage#
Admins see everything about the team's plan under Plan and usage:
- your plan, and how to upgrade or manage it;
- answers used this month, on tufu's AI and on your own key, and when they reset;
- answers left from packs;
- your own AI keys and how many bots use each;
- AI usage this month, by model and by who paid for it: replies, the answers they counted, and tokens. tufu's AI is paid for in answers, so it shows no dollar cost. Your own keys show a cost estimate at list prices; your provider's bill is the real number.
