Support cost calculator
How many conversations in a month? The plan that covers them, and the price.
Put in a busy month's conversations. The calculator turns them into answers, picks the cheapest way to cover them, and shows the sum.

The sum
How the number is worked out.
- 01One conversation is counted as 4 answers. That's an average across real support chats: a question, a follow-up, a clarification, a thank-you. Some take one reply, a few take ten.
- 02Each plan includes a number of answers on tufu's AI every month. When a plan covers the month by itself, the calculator stops there; the price is the plan's price.
- 03When it doesn't, it tops the plan up with prepaid answer packs, at one price for every thousand, and compares that with the next plan up. Whichever costs less wins, and on a tie the bigger plan does: it includes more for the same money.
- 04Free has no packs, so past its allowance the calculator moves you up. Answers on your own AI key, cached Ask answers, leads and teammates aren't part of the sum.
Questions
About the sum.
Why answers and not seats?
tufu never charges per teammate. Everyone on your team can reply to customers on every plan, so the only thing that grows with your traffic is how many answers the bot writes.
What if my month is quieter than I typed?
Unused answers in a plan reset with the month, but packs you bought stay on your account until you use them. A quiet month after a busy one costs you nothing extra.
Does a long conversation cost more?
Only by the replies in it. A visitor who asks one thing and leaves uses one answer; a long back and forth uses one per reply the bot sends. A handoff to a person adds nothing.
Is this what I'd pay with a bigger model?
The sum assumes the default model, where one reply is one answer. Bigger models use more answers a reply; the pricing page lists how many.
