What buyers compare tufu Crisp
What you pay for Answers. One reply is one answer on the included AI; stronger models count as more. A flat price per workspace with unlimited conversations, plus monthly AI credits in dollars, metered by tokens. Crisp estimates $0.05 to $0.10 for each conversation the AI handles. Unused credits don't carry over.1
Free plan Free is $0: 1 bot, 100 answers a month on tufu's AI and 500 on your own AI key, with human handoff. “Powered by tufu” is shown. 2 seats, the chat widget and a contact form, unlimited conversations, and no AI credits included: the AI agent starts on Mini.1
Entry plan Starter at $19 a month: 1,000 answers, up to 3 bots. Team at $49 a month billed monthly, or $490 a year: 4,000 answers, up to 20 bots and unlimited teammates. Free is $0, with 100 answers a month. Mini, $45 a month per workspace: 4 seats and $5 of AI credits. No yearly price is published; you switch in the app, and a prepaid year isn't refunded.1
Remove branding Included in Team. Only on Plus, $295 a month per workspace. No add-on removes “We run on Crisp” on Mini or Essentials.1
Seats Unlimited teammates on every plan. Free: 1 bot. Team: up to 20 bots. 4 on Mini, 10 on Essentials, 20+ on Plus. Teammates who reply from Slack need no seat.1
When the credits run out The bot pauses on tufu's AI until next month, and visitors can still ask for a person if your bot offers it. Nothing is billed after the fact: on Team, add a prepaid pack, or let auto-recharge buy one under a monthly limit you set. By default the AI stops answering and new conversations go to your team until the credits reset. Pay-as-you-go keeps it going under a billing limit you set; its rate isn't published.1
Inactive accounts Never deleted for being quiet, on any plan. An idle account's data is kept for up to 12 months, then Crisp emails that it will be deleted unless you come back. Free accounts can be ended at Crisp's discretion.1
Human handoff On every plan: a ping with a summary and, when your docs cover it, a drafted reply. You answer by replying to the email, no login needed. On Team, in Slack too. The AI works in an Automated inbox and routes a conversation back to your inboxes when a person is needed, or as soon as you reply. Your team answers in Crisp's web, desktop and mobile apps, or from Slack on Mini and up.1
Keeping it current On Team, websites, GitHub and Confluence can be read again every week. On Free, rebuild a source when your docs change. Crawled pages don't refresh on their own: you refresh them. 1 crawled domain on Mini, up to 3 on Essentials and 10 on Plus, 2,000 pages a domain; the crawler doesn't run JavaScript. Articles in Crisp's own help center train it as you write them.1
Where it answers A chat bubble on your site, an Ask console in your docs, a WordPress plugin, email, Slack and Discord. More places than tufu, in one inbox: the chat widget and contact form on every plan; email, Messenger, Telegram and X from Mini; Instagram, WhatsApp, SMS and the phone from Essentials.1
Actions Booking links on every plan: the chat offers your Calendly or Cal.com link with the visitor's name and email filled in. Anything else that needs doing (a refund, a plan change) goes to a person, with a reply drafted. The AI can act through your integrations and MCP servers (account details, order tracking, refunds), with an identity check before the sensitive ones.1
Security No SOC 2 report. Our AI providers don't train on your data. With your own key, your agreement with that provider applies. How we handle it: our security page. In Crisp's words, no SOC 2 audit, and “committed to aligning” with ISO 27001, not certified. Hosted in the Netherlands and Germany, with a DPA on every plan.1

When Crisp is the better choice

  • You want one inbox for email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, SMS and the phone.
  • Your team lives in a live chat tool all day, with desktop and mobile apps, co-browsing and routing.
  • You want a help center product and a CRM in the same tool as the chat.
  • You want EU hosting from a French company, with a DPA on every plan.
  • You want the AI to take actions through integrations and MCP servers, on the model you pick.
